Wick Care Farm

In June 2014 Wick Care Farm opened with the aim of providing a day opportunity for people with long term mental health difficulties such as dementia, anxiety and depression. We also now work with 11-16 year olds from local schools, including students who are autistic.

Activities include horticulture, animal care, wildlife conservation projects, cooking, craft and DIY. The care farm has become a supportive, thriving, community. We grow much of our own food which we harvest, cook, and eat together.

Since opening in 2014 demand for our service has exceeded original expectations and our converted farm building is no longer fit for purpose. We desperately need to raise funds for insulation, suitable flooring, and a proper kitchen. Our usual fundraising events have not been able to go ahead since COVID-19 hit. In October we were overjoyed when we heard the wonderful news that the Co-op Local Community Fund had chosen Wick Care Farm CIC as one of their “causes”. There are two ways you can help our community at no additional cost to you: Please become a Co-op member and register Wick Care Farm CIC as your “Cause”. Each time you swipe your Co-op membership card at any blue Co-op Group shop, money will be donated to our fundraiser.

Please join Easyfundraising.com and select Wick Care Farm to receive a donation every time you shop online.
