Pershore Benefice Suspends Public Worship

With the rapidly rising Covid-19 virus rates and the new national lockdown restrictions, after careful consideration the Pershore Benefice has taken the decision to suspend public worship in their buildings for the time being. Therefore there will be no worship services held in Pershore Abbey, St Mary’s in Wick, St Nicholas’ in Pinvin or St James’ in Birlingham from now until further notice.

However they will revert to providing an online Sunday Service each Sunday at 10.30am available on the Pershore Abbey Community YouTube Channel. A link to this service will be published on the Abbey website and Facebook page. This will commence from this Sunday 10th January.

Church buildings will remain open for personal prayer with social distancing hygiene measures in place. Full details of the individual church opening times are available on the Pershore Abbey website. People are reminded that Face coverings are mandatory upon entering places of worship along with hand sanitising and the two metre distance applies at all times.

The Benefice will remain active on their social media platforms to keep the community updated. There is also a prayer group on Facebook for those wishing to join.
