Protect your bike from thieves!
Residents will have the chance to keep their bikes safe from thieves at a series of bike marking events across the Malvern Hills and Wychavon districts. Wychavon District Council is offering the free service in response to a rise in bike theft during the coronavirus outbreak.
Bike marking is a method that consists of applying a unique identifiable number to the frame of the bike, which is then registered with the National Bike Register Database. This reduces the risk of a bike being stolen and if stolen, it makes it easier to report and find it again.
This will be held on Tuesday 23 June, 1pm-4pm: Civic Centre, café entrance by the water fountain, Pershore.
Cllr Rob Adams, Portfolio Holder for Community Engagement, Culture and Sport at Wychavon District Council, said: “These free bike marking events will give residents peace of mind that if their property is ever stolen or lost, there is a greater chance of being reunited.”
