People who show little integrity at the start of this difficult time will not have a reputable business to go back to when it’s over – says Ruby Edwards of local communications agency You Do Better.

As a sole parent of two children, one of whom has a life-threatening medical condition, Ruby knows only too well that COVID-19 will affect her, her family and business greatly.

“It’s difficult to come to terms with what’s happening. Those of us who are self-employed and rent a home are in a really tricky situation right now. With government support now being rolled out, I welcome yet await with bated breath the Prime Minister’s daily briefings of news to support my family and me. Like many, many others across the region and the nation as a whole, the changes are a true test of our abilities to adapt and show resilience in both our personal and professional lives.”

Ruby’s business, a flourishing local Agency providing outsourced communications support to busy companies across the region, is taking a hit. However, the You Do Better team stand behind their clients with pay-as-you-go marketing to help them and many other local firms through this challenging time.

“While my family and their health remain at the top of my list of priorities, it’s good to be helping others and we’ve been offering free communications advice through this tricky time. Businesses who don’t adapt their tone of voice and messaging will see the affects in the long-term. I fear that people and organisations that show little integrity at the start of this difficult time will not have a reputable business to go back to when it’s over.”

Ruby and her team of associates are offering free communications advice to support businesses through the coronavirus. Contact Ruby on 07891 777464 or ruby@youdobetter.co.uk.
