Tolley’s watchmakers and jewellers is one of Pershore’s well-established businesses on the High Street. It is a family business run by Simon Tolley and his wife, Sally. Simon followed in his father’s footsteps as a clock and watch repairer. After leaving school, he worked with his father but then went to work in the printing industry for five years. He decided to return to his earlier profession and established his own business in 1993 in a smaller shop on the High Street.

A few years later, Simon and his wife moved to their current larger premises, conveniently situated next to the car park. As an independent business, Simon and Sally specialise in watch, clock and jewellery repairs as well as manufacturing their own jewellery. In a normal month, on average, they complete 800 repairs! They have a reputation for producing high quality, bespoke jewellery for their discerning customers. A comprehensive range of other items offers a wide choice for everyone. They also repair top quality name watches such as Rolex.

Apart from this, regular repairs involve re-threading necklaces, resizing rings, stone repairs and simply replacing batteries and watch straps. Personal recommendations from past and present customers ensure they are always busy! One of the things that Simon and Sally enjoy is catering for families from births, to engagements, marriages, anniversaries and special celebrations. Their personal service means that they can provide beautiful, quality pieces for individual tastes and every occasion, while getting to know these families. Customers become friends!

Having a family of two daughters and a son keeps the Tolleys busy at home, particularly as they sometimes have to travel all over the country with their son who rides in the sport of motocross.

After seven months enforced closure, Simon and Sally are delighted to be able to open their doors again to welcome new and old friends to their business. They say they have no plans to change; they are quite happy where they are doing what they enjoy.
