Residents in Wadborough rallied to the call from landlady Lydia of the Masons Arms. A truck going to Poland had an empty palette available so a plea went out for all sorts of items that are needed by Ukrainian refugees. Within minutes there were offers to provide supplies and by Sunday evening, a large collection of filled boxes (not all shoe boxes, wine ones were very handy too!) were assembled. Monday morning they were delivered to Honeybourne to begin their journey.
On Thursday 17th March, the Masons is also holding a charity sing-along at 7pm to raise money to provide further support in the Ukraine. A pianist will be there to provide the music, there will be a raffle and it is hoped this event will be well supported. You do not have to be a good singer to attend!!
