Pershore Riverside Youth Centre, runs two Special Educational Needs youth clubs. Providing essential respite for parents and carers of young people with additional needs and disabilities. Saturday Social Club is for 16-18 years olds to help them learn independent living skills. Sunday Club is for 8-18 year olds and promotes social and emotional wellbeing whilst learning new social skills. There is lots of fun to be had at Sunday Club including trips, sports, water-based activities, archery, cooking, craft, discos, board games and much more. Trips have included Evesham Adventure Playground, cinema at No 8, Wick Care Farm, water based activities with Bonkers and many other adventures.

Saturday Social Club has a café where the young people can buy food, drinks and snacks, learning money management skills. They can also volunteer to assist with the preparation and sale of food, learning new skills transferable to the workplace. There are lots of social activities like Xbox, Wii, sports games and arts and crafts. There is always lots of different music playing in each room, with flashing disco lights in the hall so the young people can enjoy their very own disco. The young people have lots of fun socializing and making new friends, with staff encouraging self-development and learning new skills.

Parents and carers have said it’s a great place to leave their young person, in a safe and comfortable environment with qualified and experienced staff, knowing their young person is having fun.
